![]() Hope this helps any crying souls out there that invested so much money on BOSE and are presently disappointed. With Product Care TM you can relax knowing Your purchase comes with additional protection.ĭiscover all the benefits Product Care TM brings you: For those who don’t have that, I would recommend setting up your access point or your router right next to the tv set up.Īfter this remarkable painstaking connection process was complete, my soundbar started working as intended and I’m back to loving bose (although, a little bit less. I didn’t try doing the connection with my mesh in the other room, so no way of knowing, but at this point, I have tried for so long that I rather just leave the mesh in place next to the tv. I think that the soundbar 700 uses a lot of bandwidth and perhaps during set up the connection Needs to be very strong. The signal is strong everywhere so I never really thought much of the issue with Wi-Fi not being optimal, but I took one of my ports and plugged it right next to the soundbar and this was also part of what I believed helped me reconnect. My guess with this is that Wi-Fi stops working when it detects a hardwire or it prioritizes the hardwire and since the system isn’t running correctly, it takes you back to square one. Once the soundbar was plugged to Ethernet, the wifi wasn’t able to pick anything up. NOTE: having the Wi-Fi in the next room or plugging Ethernet didn’t really work for me. When set up is complete you will be able to control your Bose again as when it came from factory. Don’t press any buttons on your remote until prompted by the setup screen. the APP will take you thru initial set up. My guess is that BOSE made it so that the components don’t work without each other well so they promote purchases of items that go missing etc. the moment this happened both the TV and the APP found each other and the soundbar and the remote came back on. I, then, pressed and held the “o” again until the soundbar gave me a solid amber light. When this happened, I unplugged the soundbar again and restarted. ![]() This process was tricky, because the soundbar gave me a steady bright white warning light. Plug power and within 5 seconds press and hold the “o” on the left side of the top of the soundbar. count 30 seconds -turn TV back ON -get the bose app and set it to look for your soundbar and keep the device on your hand awaiting for it to show you that it found the soundbar. The tv will try to connect with them and since the soundbar isn’t set, the tv will not prioritize that connection. turn TV OFF (I have a Samsung) -if your tv is set to “auto” to look for the ARC or optic fiber cable, make sure it is “on” and no other sources of audio are plugged or nearby. Unplug the soundbar from both TV and power (no Ethernet cable was connected either). How set-up mode without remote happened for me: I tinkered with the soundbar 700 and was finally able to reconnect it to Wi-Fi and adjust the settings. Resolved I had this issue go on for a few months and had very little traction. What do I do now? Am I doomed with this device? Or is there a way to directly do some sort of HARD RESET from the soundbar itself? I simply wanted a way to have this STUPIDEST expensive device to connect to my new wifi. So, I have a remote that doesn’t do anything, a soundbar that I’m just not able to use without Ethernet (my wifi is also in another room than my TV). As soon as I disconnect the ethernet, everything goes back to not working anymore. Also tried the remote resetting but remote was still totally unresponsive. Only the light on it keeps continuously glowing until I press. But, this didn’t help as I then tried pressing the round touch button on the soundbar for a few seconds, but nothing happens. I immediately unlinked the device from my Google Home app as it became discoverable there. Next, tried connecting this stupid expensive soundbar directly via ethernet, then I see that the device is still discoverable by the same name from my mobile, for example. At this point, remote stopped working altogether (no lights blinking at all, batteries are almost brand new and working on other devices). I then saw that I had to also “unlink” Google Assistant from it before removing the device from app. Then I simply tried to remove the device from my app. ![]() I tried using my remote but that didn’t work either. I went to the App but it couldn’t find or connect to the device anymore. I really need HELP… I have a similar situation where I wanted to keep using my bose soundbar 700 after resetting my wifi.
